11.jpg - The Color of Moonlight, 64 1/2" x 96", 1996 For this quilt I used a method that I would describe as a "never again" idea. I drew the design on a large piece of brown kraft paper. Then I cut the design into small, very small, templates. I cut the fabric using those paper patterns and slowly stitched it all together. It was very difficult to keep up with what went where! I finally finished the quilt and loved the result, but not the method that I had used. The final image made me think of looking up at a night sky through a circuit board grid. I loved the outer shape of the quilt and was also satisfied with the back of the quilt.
