15.jpg - Frog Pond Quilt, 56" x 56", 1996 We have three grandsons. When asked what he wanted, one requested a frog pond. I looked for fabrics and additions until I had what I wanted to create the look of the surface of a pond. I appliqued many of the forms onto the surface. I purchased little bean bag frogs and sewed them onto the lily pads. When it was complete, I hired a machine quilter to quilt the front to the back. She used clear thread and as time passed, the thread broke, and I have repaired the quilt many times over. Even so, the quilt has brought a lot of joy to our grandson.
