| Bordering on the Square, 72" x 72", 1997 This quilt was sewn after my husband and I returned from a trip to Arkansas. We stopped by many ancient Indian villages along the way. The image for this quilt is based on the idea of four dirt, flat-top pyramids bordering on a communal square in the center. The lines and shapes in the center represent the pathways and conversations of that community. It was great fun creating the outer shape to further enhance the look of the pyramid silhouettes. |
